What’s significant here is that it is not an article about Fr Doyle himself, but about conversion and God’s Providence in all of this. The writer, Dan Hitchens, who is the Deputy Editor of the Catholic Herald, used multiple examples from the lives of the saints to make his point. He refers to St Augustine, St Vincent Pallotti, Mother Angelica and Fr Doyle in making his wider point about conversions.
It is a great sign that awareness of, and devotion to, Fr Doyle are growing again when his life and example are referred to in mainstream Catholic articles in order to illustrate wider points about spirituality and about the Church.
